Abstract

Starting its Preparatory Phase in November 2012, MIRRI aims to develop strategies to establish a pan-European infrastructure for microbial resources, their associated data and expertise. 16 renowned European partners work together to build a One-Stop-Shop for microbial raw material, expertise and legal advice to fulfil the users’ needs. This includes developing the future governance structure, identifying the users’ needs and expectations regarding the infrastructure as well as defining the legal operational framework for access to microbial resources. Implementation of the prepared strategies will start in 2015.
